Ad-Hoc Meeting of the Task Force to facilitate the provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar

​The Ad-Hoc Meeting of the Task Force to facilitate the provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar through the AHA Centre was held at 1000 hrs on 23March 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

​ The Meeting was chaired byU Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation and Chairman of the Myanmar Task Force and attended byVice Chairperson of the Task Force, Dr.Thet Thet Khaing, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and members of Myanmar Task Force from the respective ministries.

​ The Meeting discussed the ways forward to facilitate the completion of Joint Needs Assessment in order to proceed the provision of broader humanitarian assistance to peoplein need in Myanmar and coordinated among the concerned Ministries to ensuring effective and secure on-ground proceduresfor interim arrangement of provision of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar. The Meeting, then reaffirmed Myanmar’s commitment for the implementation of the Point 4 of the Five-Point Consensus which is the provision of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar by enhancing the synergy between the existing mechanisms to meet the needs of people in need.
